When you're strong, everyone's your friend

So here we are again. You can thank Rachy for coaxing me back to the blog with her discovery of a picture of two very disturbed simians.

First off, Happy 5769 to the Tribe. I'd send you guys a canned ham or something, but my five hundred million dollar mortgage is only worth a $1.97. I guess I shouldn't have exaggerated how much crazy blog money I had flowing in, huh?

Secondly, speaking of our Jewish friends, (and deranged monkeys, now that I think about it) you may recall that the terrorist dictator of Iran, Achingdinnerjob, recently spoke at the United Nations. There was a protest planned with several notable speakers... until one of the sponsoring groups got their panties in a twist because it might provide an opportunity for a Republican to look good. (and not coincidentally, give her a bit more of the "international experience" some say she lacks) To make a long story short, everyone freaked the hell out, and canceled the event faster than OJ running from a hotel lobby.

What didn't get reported until earlier this week was Governor Palin's speech she planned to give. Even I didn't hear about this until I saw that the New York Sun was sadly ceasing publication after today. This is the speech on Iran and Achingdinnerjob that I've been waiting to hear someone, anyone (hell - EVERYONE!!) deliver. It's absolutely disgraceful that an allegedly Jewish organization couldn't put the security of our world, and survival of their people above a petty thing like party politics. That's a fucking ridiculous excuse for Tikkun Olam you've got going there Democrats.

Ahmadinejad may choose his words carefully, but underneath all of the rhetoric is an agenda that threatens all who seek a safer and freer world. We gather here today to highlight the Iranian dictator's intentions and to call for action to thwart him.

He must be stopped.

The world must awake to the threat this man poses to all of us. Ahmadinejad denies that the Holocaust ever took place. He dreams of being an agent in a "Final Solution" — the elimination of the Jewish people. He has called Israel a "stinking corpse" that is "on its way to annihilation." Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman — not when Iran just this summer tested long-range Shahab-3 missiles capable of striking Tel Aviv, not when the Iranian nuclear program is nearing completion, and not when Iran sponsors terrorists that threaten and kill innocent people around the world.

The story is still up on The Sun's website for however long that'll last, so read it all... while it's still available.

Alright. I've done my posting for the season... time to go back into the blog-hole until February 2nd.
